Jungle Barbie

I washed my hair on Monday and did the protective twists. My hair was still wet when I woke up on Tuesday, so I let my hair flowed. I love the look of my hair and well as how it feel. I use the Silicon set from Nunaat. I will be having a review coming up soon.
Anyhoo, I did this hairstyle which I though was nothing but got lots of compliments. I will be keeping it for a little while because I will be traveling and you know I don't want a search repeat.
My outfit was a little bold and thats how I was feeling on that day. I wore this Zara shirt with a pair of Old navy Rockstar denim.
I accessorized the look with a H&M bracelet, Citizen watch, GAP sandals, SouFeel.com earrings, Zara sunnies and tote.

Perfect Graduation Hairstyle

Happy Monday Barbies and Kens!!!!! I hope all the mothers had a great Mother's Day yesterday. I had a quiet wekend. I stayed in for the most part and recorded a graduation hair tutorial that is hat friendly.
The style is pretty simple and can be worn to a party afterward if you have one. Here is the tutorial for the look. Let me know what you think.

The weather has been pretty warm here in LA so, I wanted an outfit that would keep me cool. I went for this silk shorts from Forever21 and pair it with a chiffon GAP top.
I originally wanted to wear a romper but did not have the color I was going for. Because of that I decided to create my own.
I did not like the look of the hairstyle without the hat so, I added this headband from one of my shorts.
To brightening up my outfit, I injected lots of blue through my accessories. I wore these wooden bangles from Mango, Forever21 flower earrings and necklace, Zara bag and Lamb sandals.
How will you wear your hair for your graduation? or How did you wear your hair for your graduation?

Print Strapped with some Curls

Hey Barbies and Kens!!!! I have not been post regularly but I hope you will forgive me. Have been busy with research papers and presentations.
So yesterday, I had a quick errand to run and this was my hairstyle involuntarily. I need to either wash my hair or spray water on it because these curls won't allow me to style my hair the way I want.
All I did was a large flat twist on one side with the rest of my hair cascading to the side. Not what I was going fo but I had very limited time.
Prints are huge this season and it's right up my style alley. I pulled out this H&M printed top that I've had for ages and paired it with some high-waisted Zara shorts.
I accessorized the look with my Citizen watch, BCBG Dulce bracelet, H&M earrings and Zara bag.
The weather was a little better today, so I wore there BCBG strappy sandals.

DIY Dry Shampoo using Corn Starch & Cocoa

Hey Barbies and Kens!!!!! The time is getting warmer and it's time for us to show off our hot bodies that we've been working on during the winter. Summer means we sweat more in our hair Yuck!!!!! Don't worry, I have a solution for you.

When you exercise how often do you wash your hair?

I have been trying it out and I think its worth sharing with you guys. Most of the ingredients, I think you already have in your kitchen.

Things you will need
  • Corn starch
  • Baking soda (optional)
  • Unsweetened Cocoa (optional only use if you have darker hair)
  • Measuring spoons
  • 2 Container to mix and store the product

Instructions

1)  add 1 tablespoon of each ingredient except the baking soda add 1/2 a teaspoon instead.
2)  mix the ingredients together.
3)  pour the mixture into a bottle. It's best to put it in a salt/ pepper shaker. This will help to disperse the product     in you hair better.
4)  apply to your hair and massage it in your scalp.
5)  enjoy sweat and odor free hair.

NB: if your hair is lighter you can use only the cornstarch and baking soda. The main ingredient is the corn starch.
Happy workout and enjoy the warm days.  If you have any questions, queries and or concerns please leave them below or email me at synethiae@gmail.com or send me a message on twitter and or facebook.

Jungle Barbie Glam: Los Angeles Urban League

This past Friday evening, I went to the Los Angeles Urban League annual Black tie Dinner and Awards. There were lots of great entertainment (like Baby Face) which I could not capture because I left my camera at home. Yes I know."How could I?" I asked myself too. I had to take some of the pictures when I got home.
For this event, I wanted a glam hairstyle to compliment my dress. Before washing my hair on Wednesday night, I knew I wanted some curls swept to the side. It was not what I was hoping for but it worked. This style looks best on old stretched curls.
So I had lots of different ideas in mind as to what I wanted to wear but when I saw this number in a Boutique in the mall I knew it was the one.
I wanted a dress with this specific back and was not sure I would be able to find it in the time constraint I had. Anyhoo, I did and I loved it. I got so many compliments and inquiries about it as well.
I wore very minimal accessories just enough to compliment the dress.
Paired these Bershka cuffs with my Gucci watch, Christain Dior clutch and Soufeel.com skull earrings.
These Chinese Laundry sandals was love at first sight. I knew they were the perfect match for my dress. They are a little exact but the next size up would be a 8 which was way too big. I made it worked.

Sporting Coils with Florals

Happy Monday Barbies and Kens!!!!! Hope you all had a great weekend. After washing my hair on Wednesday night, I decided to put it in coils. I wanted big curly hair for the event I attended on Friday evening.
To achieve the look in your hair see the video below.
To give the style some flair, I added a Forever21 fuchsia headband.

I completed my outfit by wearing a Bershka sports pants with a floral button down from Target. I gave the blouse a little tie in the front to give it a little more sex appeal.

The rest of my outfit consisted of Zara sunnies, Baginc.com bag, Soufeel.com skull earrings and Zara teal pointy flats (not shown in the pictures).
