Must Haves for your Hair this Summer

The summer is fast approaching and like our skin our hair needs protection too. I have been asked to recommend some hair must haves for the summer. Below are a few items and products I think will be very useful and beneficial for you and your hair.

1) Very Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner

Whether or not we realize it, the sun dries the moisture out of our hair. This is unavoidable however, we can minimize the amount of moisture our hair loose by using a moisture rich shampoo and conditioner. See the shampoo and conditioners I recommend here and here.

2) Moisturizer

A moisturizer is very useful in adding the moisture lost to the sun. There are many different kinds of moisturizers. They can range from oils to cream. Make sure to choose one that works for your hair type.  If you choose to use a natural oil like coconut oil, remember to use a moisturizer first and then the oil. The moisturizer I recommend is the Mango and Lime No More Itch Spray.

3) Hair Accessories

Accessories are very important because they can make a dull and effortless hairstyle look glam. Good accessories to have are flowers, hair clips, head bands, scarves, fathers etc.

4) Hat

Hat are very useful during the summer they not only keep the sun out of your face but they also protect your hair. You do not need to get an expensive one, all you need to do is use a hair accessory to decorate it. For example, put a scarf around it or add a broach or feather. Glam up those hats for the summer and work them . Will be doing a series featuring ways to style your hair while wearing hats. Stay tuned for that.

5) Protective Hairstyles
Protective hairstyles are very important as they help to minimize breakage and moisture depletion. Protective hairstyle should not be boring, there are too many styles for them. For more ways to style your protective hairstyle see the pictures below. You may also visit my YouTube Channel for more ways to style your protective styles.
6) An umbrella
I know most people do not like to use umbrellas unless it is raining however, they are very good during the summer. They prevent sun burn as well as prevent damage to your hair. There are many umbrellas that are UV protected and will be a very great accessory to have for the summer.

Hope this was helpful and will help you get your hair ready for the summer and the heat that comes with it. Thank you for reading. Remember to become a Barbie friend to get more trendy hairstyles, useful hair care tips, fashion ideas and health tips. Until tomorrow, stay fab and be creative.
